Herland
Baker has been in the furniture/design Industry for
15 years and has been a practicing member of ASID for 3 years.
Working in the industry gives Mr. Baker a great opportunity
to express himself through design. His style is from transitional
to European opulence. In this metropolitan area, Mr. Baker has
the chance to meet clients from all over the world that have
very challenging needs, such as designing a room for a more
intimate get together, to designing a home for more lavish entertaining.
All of this can be achieved through the extensive resources
at Colony House Furniture.

Marybeth
Evans

Marybeth
Evans, an allied member of the American Society of
Interior Designers, has been in the interior design industry
for over 20 years. Prior to that, she traveled abroad extensively,
and therefore, is adept in assimilating the art and architecture
from Europe and around the world into her designs. She joined
Colony House in 1987 as an interior designer and has worked
on the floor display staff as well as the accessory buying staff.
Prior to coming to Colony House, she was an interior designer
for Kimmel's furniture.
Ms. Evans has a bachelor of science degree from the Pennsylvania
State University in consumer services in business, and a bachelor
of arts in interior design from the Mt. Vernon campus of the
George Washington University, graduating Cum Laude. She also
studied sculpting, abstract painting and botanical watercolor
painting at the Corcoran College of Art and Design.
Ms. Evans is adept at creating a look for her clients that is
uniquely theirs. This is done by listening to their needs and
developing a design that fits their particular lifestyle, whether
it is classically traditional, transitional or contemporary
Ms. Evans has done work for the movie set of "Random Hearts",
has had one of her Washington projects featured in a Hallmark
Hall of Fame made for television movie, and has also worked
on international projects. Other projects include the member's
room at Dunbarton Oaks in conjunction with Dr. James Carter.

Edward Huggins

Edward
Huggins brings to Colony House over 25 years of experience
in the home furnishings & design field. His style is traditional
with touches of the unexpected. His personal client mission statement
is “To create exquisite spaces that fulfill needs rather
than just function or fashion.” Edward joined Colony House
in 2003. Edward also has an extensive background in retail furnishing
and sales management and has won numerous sales awards over the
course of his career for the excellence of his work and outstanding
care of his clients. Edward is a certified member of the IDS:
Interior Design Society and is a business graduate from UVA.

Minoo
Lari, ASID |
Minoo
Lari, an allied member of ASID (American Society of Interior
Designers) is a professional and experienced interior designer
with 28 years of solid residential and commercial work experience.
She has a Master’s Degree in interior design from the prestigious
Pratt Institute (New York City). Ms. Lari lived and worked for
over 15 years in New York City prior to moving to the Washington,
D.C. area. She joined Colony House in 2004.

Keith
Woodside

Keith
Woodside joined Colony House in 1996 as an interior designer.
Prior to that, he was a designer/sales consultant with Woodward
and Lothrop for 20 years. Since joining Colony House, Mr. Woodside
has become one of the company's top sales producers. Mr. Woodside's
main design projects are classic traditional, but he is adaptive
to continental, transitional and contemporary design styles. Most
of Mr. Woodside's clients are from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan
area; he has worked on projects both nationally an internationally.
Mr. Woodside has over 30 years in the furniture and design business.
He has a bachelor of science in interior design from the University
of Maryland and is a certified member of the Interior Design Society. |
